Mr. Chen Jian's portfolio is consisted of the Department of Asian Affairs, Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation, the China International Contractors Association, the Association of International Engineering Consultants, and China International Economic Cooperation Society. He also assists Vice Minister of Commerce Ma Xiuhong in her responsibilities with respect to the Investment Promotion Agency.

Mr. Chen Jian meeting Polish Economy Minister Wieslaw Kaczmarek

Assistant Minister Chen Jian met Polish Economy Minister Wieslaw Kaczmarek who was visiting Xiamen for participation of the 10th International Fair for Investment and Trade on Sept 9.

Mr. Chen Jian expressed his appreciation on the participation of delegation from Poland to the Fair for 5 years running and hoped that the delegation would attend every year in the future. He said that Chinese government attached high importance to the development of trade and economic relations with Poland. In recent years, the bilateral trade and economic cooperation between China and Poland went well through mutual efforts and the trade volume increased year by year, the two-way investment had been launched and the cooperation areas were expanded gradually. The two countries would strengthen the bilateral trade and economic relations in an all-round way depending on development of cooperation in goods and service trade, investment and tourism.

Kaczmarek said that the international fair for investment and trade was one of the most important exhibitions for Poland to take part in every year, Poland would dispatch delegation to participate as usual. Investment had been the significant factor to push forward Sino-Poland economic development, Poland wished enterprises of the two countries could find out more investment opportunities through the Fair.
